Production time

Standard production is about 2 weeks from the moment you approve your mockup (faster turnaround available with express shipping). Production does not begin until approval, so the clock starts when you say yes, not when you first enquire.

Buttons are supplied as a lithographic print applied to a pressed metal shell beneath a clear protective film, and the printed sheet is dimensionally larger than the finished shell because it is wrapped over the domed face and secured beneath the crimped rim; quotations therefore state the shell size, the printed diameter, the bleed and the live area as four separate figures, the live area being the only region visible on the finished face, and pre-production proofs are supplied with the live-area boundary drawn over the customer artwork, approval of that proof being taken as acceptance of the position of all elements relative to that boundary; read distances stated against shell sizes are given in good faith as practical guidance and are not warranted figures; magnetic backings are supplied with a separate keeper and customers are advised in writing to keep them away from magnetic-stripe cards and mechanical timepieces; jumbo shells are supplied with reinforced pin fittings as standard; slate and multiple-name sets are produced from a single retained layout system with individual plates per name, and that system, the colour build and the live-area geometry are recorded against the customer account so that later additions correspond to earlier production; and no representation or advice is given as to whether any disclaimer, attribution or paid-for-by statement is required on any item, that determination resting with the customer and the customer’s own legal advisers, the company acting solely as a printer and setting any such wording only as instructed.

Express turnaround

If you are working to an opening, a wedding or an event date, tell us the date when you request the quote. Express turnaround is available on most products and we will confirm in writing whether your date is achievable before you pay.

Delivery

Orders ship from the United States by ground carrier, with transit typically running 2–5 business days depending on distance. You receive tracking as soon as the shipment leaves. Expedited air service is available on request.

Addresses and split shipments

Double-check your shipping address before approval — carriers charge to redirect a shipment in transit and we pass that cost through at cost. We can split one order across multiple locations; just tell us the breakdown when you order.

Lost or damaged shipments

If tracking stalls or a carton arrives damaged, contact us with photos and we will open the carrier claim and reprint or refund the affected portion. You do not have to deal with the carrier yourself.
